IGRM Kenya & Refugee Camps Weekly Impact Report | November 3 – 9, 2025
Faith in Action: Transforming Lives, Igniting Hope, and Building Resilient Communities
Reporter: Thomas, Country Director | Facilitator: Uhuji
Across the refugee camps of Kakuma and Kalobeyei, International Gospel Response Ministries (IGRM) continues to demonstrate that faith in action can outshine adversity. Amid hunger, heat, and hardship, the people of God gathered in worship, learned together, and extended love to those in need — proving once more that hope is stronger than despair. Through Christian humanitarian aid, community development, and faith-based relief programs, IGRM is reaching the most vulnerable with both practical and spiritual support.

Weekly Highlights & Impact
Seven Worship Services — Experiencing God Beyond Walls
This week, seven uplifting worship services brought together hundreds of believers in open-air spaces, temporary shelters, and simple church buildings. No matter the setting, the Spirit of God filled every gathering with joy, prayer, and praise.
“When we worship under the sky,” one mother shared, “I feel like heaven is open above us.”
Each service renewed faith and reinforced that God’s presence transcends circumstance, a core principle of IGRM’s faith-based relief programs in refugee camps.
Seven Sunday School Classes — Nurturing Faith from Childhood
Children gathered in classrooms, shade tents, and under trees for seven dynamic Sunday school sessions filled with storytelling, songs, and creative activities. Lessons focused on love, kindness, and forgiveness, equipping children to live out faith daily.
A child smiled and said, “I want to help my friends like Joseph helped his brothers.”
Through Christian humanitarian aid and discipleship programs, these sessions help build a generation rooted in faith, moral character, and community-minded values.
Five Bible Study Circles — Faith Put Into Practice
Five Bible study circles met in homes and open courtyards, reflecting on James 2:17 — “Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” Participants explored ways to serve neighbors, care for the sick, and demonstrate love in action.
These gatherings show how faith-based relief initiatives can transform spiritual learning into community impact, reinforcing IGRM’s approach to holistic discipleship programs and church growth in Africa.
Three Fellowship Gatherings — Healing Through Community
Three fellowship gatherings offered safe spaces for prayer, encouragement, and healing. Participants shared personal stories of endurance, recovery, and hope.
One youth participant said, “Here I find peace and family.”
These sessions illustrate how Christian humanitarian aid and community development programs restore emotional well-being while strengthening social bonds in refugee camps.
Three Empowerment & Life Skills Sessions — Equipping for Resilient Living
Through three practical empowerment sessions, men and women learned business planning, savings discipline, and conflict-resolution techniques. Women explored small entrepreneurship ideas like tailoring and local crafts, while men discussed family well-being and community leadership.
By linking spiritual growth with practical skills, IGRM ensures that faith-based relief programs also empower families for self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods.
Two Youth Forums — Raising Leaders with Purpose
Two youth empowerment forums brought together young people to explore faith-driven leadership, mentorship, and social impact. Mentors emphasized servant leadership and community engagement.
A youth leader remarked, “Leadership begins with compassion — that’s what IGRM teaches us.”
Many registered for ongoing youth leadership development and discipleship programs, demonstrating IGRM’s commitment to nurturing faithful leaders in refugee camps.
Humanitarian Outreach — Compassion That Feeds Both Body and Soul
IGRM volunteers delivered food parcels, hygiene supplies, and prayerful support to vulnerable families.
One elderly man said tearfully, “You brought us more than food — you brought hope.”
Every act reflects Christian humanitarian aid, proving that faith-based relief programs can tangibly restore dignity and inspire hope.
