Coordinator & Reporter: Heri

From refugee camps in Africa to cities across the Americas and Asia, International Gospel Response Ministries (IGRM) continues to equip believers to overcome barriers, empower local leaders, and multiply disciples. Through multilingual online leadership training, IGRM is raising a generation of Christ-centered leaders transforming communities with faith, courage, and hope.

🌍 Global Connection, One Purpose

During the week of October 27–November 2, 2025, IGRM’s Global Leadership Development Program connected passionate leaders from Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe through engaging online sessions conducted in English and Swahili.

From refugee camps in Africa to bustling urban centers abroad, participants united around a shared mission—to empower local leaders, multiply disciples, and transform communities for Christ.

“Being part of this program reminds me that even small steps in local communities can spark a global movement.” — Participant from Malawi

Many participants joined more than one session during the week, reflecting their desire to grow spiritually and practically, and to be equipped to overcome barriers that often prevent the Church from multiplying effectively.

🌱 Theme of the Week: From Barriers to Breakthroughs

This week’s sessions highlighted how leaders can identify obstacles to church multiplication and implement biblical, practical, and culturally relevant solutions.

Key areas explored included:

  • Centralization of Leadership: Releasing authority to local leaders to empower growth.
  • Cultural Irrelevance: Adapting the Gospel to local languages, customs, and needs.
  • Fear of Persecution: Leading courageously even when faced with societal or legal opposition.
  • Shallow Discipleship: Building deep spiritual roots that sustain long-term movements.

“I’m learning that true multiplication happens when we trust God to raise and release leaders, even in challenging circumstances.” — Participant from South Sudan

Participants were encouraged to develop strategies that turn these barriers into opportunities for discipleship, leadership, and global impact.

🎯 Four Global Sessions, One Transforming Experience

IGRM continues to offer four intentional sessions each week, ensuring leaders grow spiritually, practically, and relationally:

  1. Worship & Prayer Service – Multilingual intercession for nations, ministries, and communities.
  2. Bible Study – Deep dives into Scripture focusing on courage, faith, and multiplication.
  3. Discipleship Multiplication Training – Equipping participants to plant reproducible fellowships and mentor others.
  4. Leadership & Community Impact Session – Teaching leaders to contextualize ministry, empower locals, and serve communities effectively.

“Every session equips me to overcome the challenges I face in my ministry and gives me practical ways to multiply disciples.” — Participant from Colombia

💡 The Four Es: Equip, Empower, Engage, Excel

The Four Es framework guided this week’s learning journey:

  • Equip: Practical tools for leadership, ministry, and cultural adaptation.
  • Empower: Training local leaders to step into authority and responsibility.
  • Engage: Servant leadership that integrates faith, compassion, and social transformation.
  • Excel: Character, perseverance, and prayer as essential marks of sustainable influence.

“Overcoming barriers is not about perfection—it’s about obedience, courage, and faith in God’s plan.” — Participant from Uganda

📖 Bible Study Focus: Courage to Multiply (Matthew 9:37–38)

This week’s study emphasized the harvest is plentiful, but laborers are few (Matthew 9:37–38). Leaders reflected on how God calls ordinary believers to step into extraordinary ministry, even when obstacles exist.

Key insights included:

  • Courage is essential to multiplication.
  • Small, local gatherings can become powerful movements.
  • God honors those who step out in faith, even imperfectly.

“I’m inspired to mentor and release leaders in my community, trusting God to grow His Church.” — Participant from Bangladesh

🤝 Cross-Cultural Learning: Unity in Diversity

Leaders explored how to celebrate cultural diversity while remaining faithful to Scripture. Lessons focused on:

  • Using local stories, songs, and proverbs to communicate the Gospel.
  • Forming relational micro-churches or house gatherings that reproduce disciples.
  • Embracing cultural differences as strengths, not barriers.

“Contextualizing the Gospel helps people truly hear, understand, and follow Jesus in their own culture.” — Participant from Kenya

🙏 Global Prayer Fellowship: Lifting Nations in Faith

During the weekly multilingual online prayer, participants prayed for:

  • Courage and boldness for leaders in challenging environments.
  • Revival and multiplication in local and global churches.
  • Peace, protection, and provision for families and communities.
  • Strength for missionaries serving in difficult contexts.

“Praying together reminds me that God is working across borders and cultures through each of us.” — Participant from Germany
