God placed a deep burden on our founder’s heart to reach the forgotten—those without homes, churches, or hope. Out of this calling, International Gospel Response Ministries (IGRM Canada) was born: a movement dedicated to bringing both the Gospel and practical help to those in need.

From humble beginnings, IGRM has grown into a global mission that plants churches, equips leaders, nurtures disciples, cares for children, and supports vulnerable communities. Through faith, compassion, and action, we see lives transformed, communities strengthened, and hope restored.

Joseph grew up in a broken home and felt aimless until he joined IGRM’s Discipleship Multiplication & Church Planting. He now leads groups and plants churches, turning his past struggles into purpose. “I guide others and help them grow in faith, just as I was guided,” he shares.

Turning Pain Into Purpose Through Discipleship
Imprisoned by addiction and despair, Kamidodo found Christ during an IGRM Evangelical Crusade. With local church support, he transformed his life and now leads outreach for at-risk youth. “Hope is real—and it spreads when someone is given a second chance,” he says.

From Despair to Guiding Light for Youth
A volunteer joined IGRM’s Community Care & Fellowship, expecting to help others—but what they found was life-changing. Visiting families, praying with children, and mentoring youth, they saw first-hand the power of faith in action. “I came to serve, but I left transformed,” the volunteer shares. “Seeing a young leader grow in confidence because someone believed in them reminded me that God works through each of us.”

A Heart Touched, A Community Lifted
The Jackson family wanted to make a lasting difference. They joined IGRM’s Online Servant Leadership Training, supporting emerging leaders in distant communities who were teaching, mentoring, and planting churches. “When we saw the faces of leaders we were helping—from refugee camps to remote villages—we realized our small gift was changing eternal destinies,” says Mr. Jackson.

Lighting the Way for Global Hope
For years, refugee communities worshiped separately, and strong disciple-makers were scarce. IGRM stepped in with Discipleship Multiplication & Church Planting, creating spaces for worship, prayer, and spiritual growth across cultural and language barriers. “Our small fellowship became a local congregation! Now the believers I trained are discipling others, spreading faith and service,” shares Jacques from the DRC.

Building Unity and Disciples in Every Village
Lucy arrived at a refugee camp with nothing but the clothes on her back and a heavy heart. Through IGRM’s Skills & Vocational Training, she learned tailoring—a skill that gave her dignity, hope, and independence. “I never thought I could smile again, but now I know God sees me,” she shares. Through one of our empowerment programs, Lucy was taught how to sew. More than just a skill, it became a source of dignity, hope, and purpose. Today, she runs her own small tailoring shop inside the camp, providing for her family and teaching others what she’s learned. “I never thought I could smile again,” Lucy says. “But now I know God sees me.” This is the power of love in hard places. Joyce became a teenage mother and faced harsh judgment, poverty, and isolation. Through IGRM’s Leadership & Skills Development, she received discipleship, mentorship, and practical skills, transforming her life. “I now feel confident supporting my family and helping others,” she says.

Many children in refugee camps and rural areas arrive at school with empty stomachs, making it nearly impossible to learn, grow, or dream. Through IGRM’s children’s ministry, they receive weekly meals, school supplies, and the encouragement they need to thrive—not just in the classroom, but also in life. After losing their husbands, many widows faced deep grief and the struggle to survive. Life became uncertain, and loneliness often felt unbearable. That is when IGRM stepped in, offering not just material aid, but spiritual care and community through Home Fellowship & Pastoral Care Visits. “Having someone pray with me and guide me gave me hope when I thought all was lost,” shares one widow in Democratic Republic of the Congo

Suzan and her children arrived at a refugee camp with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Displaced, exhausted, and uncertain of the future, they faced overwhelming challenges. But through IGRM’s Life-Skills & Employability Foundations for Refugees, Suzan received guidance, mentorship, and training that helped her regain confidence and purpose. “I never imagined I could teach others while still rebuilding my own life, but now I see God using me to bring hope,” she shares.

Rising Beyond Challenges Through Skill and Faith
Through IGRM’s Worship, Prayer, and Bible Teaching, Miriam gained spiritual growth and leadership skills. She now leads worship and teaches Scripture to her community, inspiring others to grow in faith. “I now feel equipped to guide others and share hope with my neighbors,” she shares.

Leading with Faith, Prayer, and Bible Wisdom
Many children in refugee camps and rural areas arrive with challenges that make learning and growth difficult. Through IGRM’s Children’s Ministries, they receive Bible stories, songs, prayer, and interactive activities that nurture spiritual growth, moral development, and joy. “I love coming to Children’s Ministries every Saturday! I now help my younger siblings memorize Scripture and lead games with my friends,” shares Amina.

Discovering Joy and Faith in Every Lesson
Jules participated in IGRM’s Discipleship Multiplication & Church Planting and became a disciple-maker. He started a small group that now grows into multiple gatherings, transforming his community spiritually and socially. “I shared Christ with my neighbors, and now we have three groups meeting weekly,” he says.

Lukas used IGRM’s Preaching & Teaching Ministry resources to reach believers in remote villages and refugee settlements who had little access to spiritual guidance. Starting alone, he now mentors small groups, leads Bible studies, and equips other local leaders to grow in faith. “When I received my first recorded sermon, I couldn’t imagine leading anyone,” Lukas reflects. “Now, I see entire villages discovering God’s love, and I’m privileged to guide them.”
