Faith in Action: Empowering Lives, Sharing Love, and Spreading Hope Among the Nations

Reporter: Thomas, Country Director | Facilitator: Uhuji

This week, International Gospel Response Ministries (IGRM) continued spreading faith, hope, and compassion across Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kalobeyei Settlement, and surrounding host communities in northwestern Kenya.

Our dedicated team reached families living in difficult conditions, walking long distances to share the message of Christ’s love. Despite the challenges, communities gathered with open hearts, proving that faith flourishes wherever love is put into action.

🌍 Weekly Highlights & Impact

🔹 Seven Worship Services — Hope Beyond Hardship
Seven uplifting worship gatherings united diverse believers under one faith. Participants sang with deep gratitude, prayed for peace, and found renewed courage to face their daily struggles. These services reminded everyone that even in the midst of uncertainty, God’s presence brings comfort and strength.

🔹 Seven Sunday School Classes — Nurturing Tomorrow’s Leaders
Children met joyfully for Bible-based learning through songs, creative activities, and storytelling. Teachers emphasized kindness, honesty, and faith, helping to shape a generation of resilient young leaders who will carry the light of hope into their communities.

🔹 Six Bible Study Circles — Multiplying Discipleship
Six Bible study circles gathered to explore God’s Word and discuss how to live it out in everyday life. Several participants have started forming their own small groups, showing that discipleship continues to multiply naturally through personal transformation.

🔹 Five Fellowship Meetings — Restoring Community and Healing Hearts
Fellowship gatherings brought together refugees and host families to share stories, worship, and words of encouragement. Many described these meetings as “moments of peace” where love replaced fear, and unity overcame cultural divides.

🔹 Four Life Skills & Empowerment Workshops — Equipping for Daily Strength
Through interactive workshops, participants learned about trauma recovery, small business planning, and healthy family communication. These sessions equipped individuals and families with tools to face challenges with renewed confidence and dignity.

🔹 Two Community Meals & Outreach Events — Faith in Action
Two joyful community meals gathered children, youth, and caregivers around shared tables of fellowship. Beyond the food, these events nourished hearts with laughter, prayer, and a sense of belonging that continues long after the plates are empty.

🔹 Humanitarian Support & Clothing Distribution — Covering Lives with Compassion
This week, IGRM teams extended practical care to some of the most vulnerable families through clothing support. The distribution was more than a physical relief—it was a powerful symbol of dignity, warmth, and divine love. Many walked away smiling, their hearts uplifted and their faith strengthened, feeling seen and valued once again.
