Empowering Disciples and Building Global Leaders
IGRM TeamAugust 11 – 17, 2025
Coordinator & Reporter: Heri
This week, IGRM Online connected with 123 learners from Africa, North America, and Europe through four bilingual training sessions and one online fellowship conference. Our focus remained on discipleship multiplication, humanitarian services, leadership development, cross-cultural missions, and Bible studies, equipping believers to serve effectively in their communities and beyond.
What We Accomplished
- Discipleship Multiplication: Participants learned strategies to disciple others, ensuring faith and leadership multiply across communities.
- Humanitarian Services Training: Learners explored practical ways to integrate faith with tangible support, serving those in need.
- Leadership Development: Emerging leaders were empowered with skills to lead local congregations, community initiatives, and global missions.
- Cross-Cultural Missions: Training included culturally sensitive approaches for sharing the Gospel in diverse contexts.
- Bible Studies & Spiritual Growth: Deep engagement with Scripture strengthened participants’ faith and decision-making.
All these activities are recurring weekly, ensuring continuous growth, connection, and global impact.
Looking Ahead: Launching Online English for Swahili-Speaking Immigrants in Canada
IGRM is preparing to launch online English classes (CLB 1–4) for Canadian immigrants who speak only Swahili. Many face challenges starting English studies “in English,” and Joane shared:
“I stopped my English dream because I am not able to learn English in English, because I never been at English.”
Our program will help participants:
- Gain confidence in basic English communication
- Access education, work, and healthcare opportunities
- Build community and overcome isolation
- Maintain hope and pursue personal growth
This initiative complements our discipleship, leadership, and humanitarian programs, extending IGRM’s impact to new immigrant communities.
