Raising Leaders Who Multiply Hope in Hard-to-Reach Places

Coordinator & Reporter: Heri

Meta Description:
IGRM trains Christ-centered leaders worldwide through online, multilingual programs. Leaders from refugee camps, rural villages, and urban centers are empowered to disciple, multiply, and transform communities through practical Bible study, mentorship, and cross-cultural leadership.

Global Connections in Action

This week, leaders joined from Africa, South Asia, the Americas, and Europe in interactive online sessions in English and Swahili. Participants from refugee camps, rural villages, and urban hubs shared experiences, built global connections, and strengthened Christ-centered leadership.

“Even from a small village in Malawi, I feel part of a worldwide movement. I am inspired to disciple others,” shared a participant from Malawi.

The 3 E’s of Multiplication: Empower – Equip – Entrust

IGRM’s proven leadership framework emphasizes biblical multiplication:

  • Empower – Recognize God’s potential in others.
    • “You can do this.”
    • “God has given you something to offer.”
  • Equip – Provide practical tools and training.
    • Short Discovery Bible Study (DBS) lessons
    • Modeling prayer, care, and leadership skills
    • Practical life skills: hospitality, peacemaking, and organization
  • Entrust – Give real responsibility.
    • Assign groups to lead
    • Include leaders in decision-making
    • Debrief weekly to reflect and improve

“The best way to train leaders is to let them lead while walking beside them,” emphasized a participant from Kenya.

Spotting Potential Leaders

IGRM encourages identifying leaders who:

  • Are faithful before skillful
  • Gain community respect naturally
  • Take initiative
  • Are already listened to by others

Ask:

  • Who do people naturally gather around?
  • Who shows up consistently with a servant heart?
  • Who has overcome hardship with hope?

Principle: Leadership is character + calling, not charisma.

Faith-in-Action Initiatives

Leaders applied learning through:

  • Digital Discipleship Content Creation – Bible study guides, devotionals, and leadership resources for refugee camps and remote communities.
  • Community Mentorship Circles – Youth and women’s groups receiving guidance in spiritual growth, life skills, and leadership development.

“Leadership is serving others and walking with them as they grow,” said a youth leader from South Asia.

Looking Ahead: Next Steps for Impact

  • Launch mentorship circles for pastors, youth, and women leaders in new regions
  • Expand programs into French-speaking African and South Asian countries
  • Strengthen online and offline networks connecting leaders in refugee camps, rural areas, and urban centers
  • Integrate humanitarian outreach and community development into leadership programs

Actionable takeaway: Leaders will multiply disciples and build sustainable, Spirit-led impact globally.
