Leading With Empathy, Not Agenda
During August 17–23, 2026, the teaching focused on how Christian leaders can listen to people and serve them well.
One question guided the discussion:
How can we serve people well without putting our own plans ahead of their needs?
The sessions emphasized that leadership should begin with listening.
When we listen carefully, we have a better chance of understanding what people are experiencing. We may also learn that what we first thought was needed is not always what a person or community needs.
Romans 12:15 says:
“Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.”
This Scripture reminds us to care about what other people are experiencing.
Christian leadership is not only about making decisions. It is also about being present, listening, and caring.
Listening Before Leading
The teaching encouraged leaders to listen before offering solutions.
Sometimes a person needs someone to listen before they need an answer.
Listening can help us understand:
- What people are going through.
- The challenges they are facing.
- What gives them hope.
- What may help restore their dignity.
- What they believe would be helpful in their community.
Sometimes the best first step is simply to listen.
Serving With Dignity
Another part of the teaching was about treating people with dignity.
Everyone deserves respect, regardless of background, culture, nationality, beliefs, or circumstances.
When Christians provide practical help, it should be given with care and respect.
Help should never be used as a means of manipulation.
People should not feel that they must accept a particular belief or message in order to receive kindness or practical assistance.
Christian service should come from genuine love.
The sessions encouraged participants to understand that practical service and Christian witness should be carried out with respect for each person’s dignity and freedom.
Local Ownership
The teaching also looked at the importance of listening to local people.
Those who live in a community often understand its situation better than someone coming from outside. They know their local challenges, relationships, and daily realities.
For this reason, Christian leaders should not always arrive with ready-made answers.
They should listen to local voices and encourage people to take part in decisions that affect their communities.
Sometimes leadership means walking alongside people, learning from them, and supporting them.
This can help build trust and encourage local responsibility.
Questions for Personal Reflection
Participants were encouraged to consider three questions:
- Do I grieve before I act?
- Have I listened deeply to those we serve?
- Am I trying to fix, or am I truly walking alongside?
These questions encourage leaders to look at both their actions and their motives.
They are simple questions, but they can help us think more carefully about the way we serve others.
Global servant Leadership and Discipleship Multiplication training (2 Sessions)
The two leadership and discipleship sessions focused on Christian leadership as service.
The teaching encouraged participants to follow Christ, serve others, help people grow, and encourage others to serve as well.
The sessions covered:
- Following Christ faithfully.
- Listening before making decisions.
- Serving with humility.
- Applying Scripture to daily life.
- Encouraging emerging leaders.
- Helping disciples grow.
- Encouraging discipleship multiplication.
- Connecting faith with practical service.
- Supporting healthy church growth.
The goal is to help emerging leaders grow in faith and develop a servant heart for leadership.
Online Worship services and Ministry (1 Sessions)
The online worship gathering gave believers an opportunity to worship, pray, study Scripture, receive encouragement, and fellowship together.
Participants joined through Google Meet from different locations.
The gathering also reminded participants that worship is more than singing.
Worship can be expressed through the way we live, obey God, love others, show compassion, and serve.
Online worship also gives believers an opportunity to remain connected when they live in different countries.
Global Connection
During August 17–23, 2026, participants joined from Africa, Canada, and Germany.
Some participants joined more than one lesson, giving them an opportunity to continue learning throughout the reporting period.

The ministry is coordinated, directed, and controlled from Canada, with Google Meet used for the online lessons and worship gatherings.
