Faith in Action: Multiplying Worship, Discipleship, and Hope in Refugee Communities
This week, International Gospel Response Ministries (IGRM) deepened its work in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kalobeyei Refugee Settlement, and the surrounding host villages of northwest Kenya. Through seven worship services, six Sunday school classes, four Bible study groups, three fellowship gatherings, life skills programs, and a shared meal with children, we witnessed God’s love expressed in both spiritual and practical ways.
Our mission remains clear: to bring hope, discipleship, and holistic empowerment to the most vulnerable—proving that faith is not only preached but also lived in action.

Weekly Highlights and Impact
Seven Worship Services: A Refuge for the Soul
Believers gathered in seven worship services, transforming tents and open-air spaces into sanctuaries of prayer, praise, and testimony. These gatherings rekindled courage and spiritual strength, giving displaced families the resilience to endure hardship with faith.
Six Sunday School Classes: Planting Seeds of Hope
Children attended six engaging Sunday school classes, exploring Bible stories, singing songs, and asking questions. Teachers emphasized respect, kindness, and perseverance, nurturing both spiritual growth and practical life values.
Four Bible Study Groups: Discipling Leaders for Tomorrow
Four small Bible study groups dug deep into Scripture. Participants practiced leading discussions, discipling peers, and applying biblical principles, ensuring that new leaders will continue multiplying Christ-centered initiatives in their own communities.
Three Fellowship Gatherings: Strengthening Community Bonds
Three fellowship meetings brought together refugees and host families, creating spaces of storytelling, prayer, and encouragement. These gatherings bridged cultural divides, strengthened trust, and reminded communities that they are not alone in their struggles.
Life Skills Programs: Equipping Families for Resilience
IGRM’s life skills workshops equipped women, mothers, and youth with practical tools—from trauma healing to conflict resolution and sustainable livelihood skills. These programs restored dignity, hope, and capacity for families striving to build a better future.
A Shared Meal With Children: Love in Action
In addition to classes and worship, we shared a simple but meaningful meal with children. For many, it was more than food—it was a taste of care, belonging, and joy. Children laughed, prayed, and ate together, reminding us that the gospel is also lived at the table through compassion and presence.
Why This Work Matters
This week’s ministry demonstrates that holistic faith can transform lives:
- Seven worship services renewed spiritual resilience for displaced families.
- Six Sunday school classes nurtured children in faith, values, and leadership.
- Four Bible study groups multiplied discipleship and leadership capacity.
- Three fellowship gatherings promoted unity and healing.
- Life skills programs empowered women, youth, and vulnerable families.
- A shared meal with children gave hope through simple, tangible love.
Together, these initiatives show that when faith meets action, transformation is inevitable.
